Caving
Discover the largest above ground cave system in the Caribbean, local guides are available for guided tours.
Jogging & Hiking
Crossing Place Trail is approximately 4.5 miles running along the spectacular coastline of Middle Caicos. Portions of the path are rugged iron shore and sand, requiring greater skill and stamina than needed on a leisurely walk and the breathtaking views and deserted beaches demand that one stops and spends some time. To complete the entire trail, a full day is suggested.
Biking
The Crossing Place Bike Trail extends from Conch Bar down to the Tiki Huts located on Bambarra Beach. The trail follows the old Bay Road, turning up at Pine Tree Turn to ride on the paved portion until reaching the turn off at Bambarra Beach. Stubbs Landing and Samuel Landing are great rest and snorkel spots to be found along the Bay Road. A one-way ride is a little over 7 miles over fairly flat terrain. Miles of paved roads also provide great biking; minimal vehicle traffic and spectacular views can be found along the way.
Bird Watching
Birds are a special attraction on Middle Caicos. Several Osprey pairs nest along its shores. Flocks of Egrets fly by at sunrise to feed. Even the rare West Indian Whistling Duck may be seen raising its young here. Pelicans and flamingo ponds are a frequently seen close to the resort.

Eco Tourism
Middle Caicos is the premier ecotourism destination in Turks & Caicos Islands. As the largest but least developed island in the country, it is a unique opportunity to experience a disappearing way of life. Less than 300 people occupy this island and much of the island is designated as protected parks and reserves. Many of Blue Horizon's activities and excursions have been designed to compliment the natural setting without disturbing the fragile ecosystem.
